This boat had undergone a restoration process over the winter. The owner of the boat had placed a new canopy, navigation, and audio system on the boat. The condition of the fiberglass was very rough and we were able to smooth it down with Tru-Grit compound by Malco. Additionally, we used Fleetwax to give this boat the shine and protection it deserves upon being dropped in this season.
This center console boat was an absolute pleasure to work on as the owner has performed a lot of restoration work on the boat. The team at Victory Detailing did an excellent job restoring the fiberglass surfaces with the use of Mikita Rotary polisher, a high-quality wool pad, and compound from Malco.

Stingray Boats are sometimes tough to detail when they become oxidized. We recently detailed this Stringray boat in Dix Hills, NY. On this Stingray there was oxidation on many areas of the hull. We’ve found that the Stingray Boats gel coat fades over time and should be maintained by compounding. We used Malco’s Tru Grit product to bring life back to colored hulls.
After removing a coat of Garry’s wax, the Stingray Boat started to shine again. Victory Detailing also attended to some of the stains that were on the ceiling of the boats cabin. Overall, our main concern on the boat was the oxidation on the hull, and we were able to bring back the shine.
Victory Detailing is always up for a detailing challenge with respect to removing oxidation from boats. We hope to work on this Stringray boat again next season. Another quality job completed by Victory Detailing.
